Terms and Conditions



'Autogear Transmissions Limited' referred to in this Agreement in the first person plural ("we us our"). The Customer referred to in this Agreement in the second person ("you your").

Prices and Product Type:

We supply all the transmission components (bearings, gaskets and oil seals) close to the description. If we cannot supply a particular brand we will notify the customer once order is being processed. We supply all our gearbox transmission units completely rebuilt with brand new bearings, gaskets and oil seals. Any gearbox transmission parts which are damaged and faulty such as baulking rings, gears, idlers, hubs, and forks are replaced with 'used' good working order parts which is covered during our guarantee term. All prices displayed are inclusive of all taxes unless otherwise stated in the product description. The delivery cost is not included in the price displayed for the product.

Exchange Surcharge Terms and Conditions:

Where gearboxes are sold on an exchange basis an 'Exchange Surcharge' is applied. A deposit in effect, which is refunded to you when your old unit is received by us. This system allows you to purchase the gearbox without having to send the old unit first. Should an exchange unit supplied by you not be fit for reconditioning then you will not receive the deposit surcharge back, and the part returned to you. The main problems encountered are holes and cracks in gearbox case or the wrong specification item.
The amount of the Exchange Surcharge is shown together with the price on the Product Information page.
Before returning your old unit please telephone us on 0203 651 3037 (+203 651 3037) so we can make sure that the exchange unit is up to standard for the exchange surcharge rules to apply. Please ensure that all the transmission units must be drained of oil, water. We reserve the right to retain all or part of the surcharge if the unit is irreparable, damaged or not identical to the type supplied.

Electronic Communication:

You are communicating with us electronically, whenever you visit 'clasicgearboxuk.com' website or send e-mails to us, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. Communication from us to you will be via e-mail or by posting notices on this site. You agree that all notices, disclosures, agreements and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Order Acceptance / Confirmation:

Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch of the products ordered to you unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions as outlined in our Returns Policy below.
Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
* The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
* Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
* The identification of a pricing or product description error
We will confirm your order either by e-mail or telephone. Order confirmation will only occur after payment has been validated.
Please note that this procedure can take up to 24 hours.


For all credit card payments we use the services of PayPal and Sage Pay for the most secure on-line credit card agencies, using the latest encryption technologies for your guaranteed security. We will accept cheques made payable to 'Autogear Transmissions Limited'. Postal Address for all Cheques is , 143 Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow, London, E17 7HD. Goods will be dispatched immediately once the cheques have cleared the bank.

In addition to your statutory rights (which are not affected by this guarantee), we guarantee that should the gearbox or part supplied by Autogear Limited fail solely due to defective materials or faulty workmanship in the rebuild process, we will at our option either repair or replace such defects free of charge during the guarantee period. This guarantee also applies to gearboxes or parts replaced by Autogear Limited for the balance of the guarantee period. The guarantee period of all our rebuild gearboxes are 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever is sooner).

Guarantee Conditions and Limitations:

1. This guarantee is for Parts and Labour only and does not cover delivery charges to collect or dispatch to customer.
2. In the event of any claim, the gearbox only must be returned to Autogear Transmissions Limited together with the original purchase receipt (online proof of purchase or printed invoice).
3. This guarantee is not transferable.
4. All guarantees apply from the date of original purchase.
5. Gearbox failure or damage occurring directly or indirectly as a result of the following is not covered by the guarantee:
a) Fault or failure of an ancillary component ie. Clutch, gear-change cables or rods, etc .
b) Incorrect fitting by a garage or individual.
c) As a result of insufficient lubricant or coolant, lack of oil in gearbox.
d) As a result of fire or theft.

Returns Policy:

All gearboxes and differential units purchased with us do not come with a money back guarantee. For bearings gaskets and oil seals we will offer money back within 14 day period provided that the item has not been used and is in original packaging. We will only accept returns of items that are under the guarantee period. Parts that fail in use can be returned within the 12 month period from the date of purchase. This must be accompanied by the original invoice or online transaction invoice. All shipping charges will be at the cost of the customer as our warranty only covers parts and labour costs. Risk of loss or damage due to Delivery Shipping Company:

All items purchased from Autogear Transmissions Limited are made pursuant to a shipment contract. If any items appear damaged when received packaging please do not sign for the parcel. If you have signed for the parcel and discovered that the transmission unit has been damaged during delivery you must report this to us within 3 hours so we can begin to process a claim against the delivery company accordingly.

Delivery, Ownership and Risk:

We will only deliver products once full payment has been made. Ownership of all goods supplied by us shall remain with us until payment in full. Until payment in full we reserve the right to re-sell any goods.
